About HomeSidingCalculator.com

A small, focused set of tools — built one at a time, and built properly.

Why this exists

Most siding quotes start with a rough number a homeowner has no way to sanity-check. HomeSidingCalculator.com exists to give U.S. homeowners and contractors a fast, free, private way to estimate materials, waste, and rough cost before a contractor visit — using the same "siding squares" method contractors themselves use to quote jobs.

How the numbers work

The calculator measures your wall and gable area, subtracts window and door openings, adds a waste allowance for cuts and mistakes, then converts the result into siding squares (100 sq ft each) and an estimated board count. Material and labor costs shown are rough U.S. national averages, not a quote — actual pricing depends on your region, home condition, and contractor.

The Siding Calculator is live today. Vinyl, fiber cement, and wood-specific calculators are next — see the calculator roadmap for what's coming and when.
